The Intense Olympics

 

For the past week, we have been writing and watching the worldwide Olympics. I've been writing about Hayden Wilde and Andrew Knewstubb. We have been learning about the Olympics and people in the past. Hayden participated in the triathlon and Knewstubb was in rugby 7s. Hayden got NZ our first bronze and Andrew and their team got silver in rugby 7s. And today we got gold in the canoe race. The Olympics goes 1 every 4 years. I've enjoyed watching and researching about people that were in it. Have you ever seen or writ about the Olympics before? 

My Holidays

 

This is the holiday writing that I did it is about hunting up in the mountains with my dad. We went in a helicopter up to a mountain called Mt Brown and we stayed in the hut for one night. The walk back down was 4 hours and every day I was nagging to my dad to go up there and finally we did. I really enjoyed it up there it did snow on the first day and it was -3 degrees. Have you ever been up in the mountains before?

Pick A Path Story

This is my pick a path story it is a horror one. Pick a path are a story that has options and one could be bad and one could be good. First I had to make a planning sheet. Then once I finished the planning I had to make a form and add all the stuff in it was hard. Then I had to add it so if I tapped one it would put you to it. My Limericks

This is all my limericks. Limericks are basically a poem that has 5 sentences and rhymes but 1 2 and 5 have to rhyme together and 3 and 4  have to, but not like 1, 2 and 5, 3 and 4 rhyme differently. Have you ever made a limerick before?

this is my pepeha we had to do it for our waka art. How I did it first I put in my name and then where I was born after I added were I live right now lastly I added images of me were I was born and where I live. Have you ever have done or said your pepeha before?.

Jack T My Troll Writing

Story starter!

Thump! He slammed his enormous, grass-covered foot into the middle of the road,
sending shockwaves of dust in all directions.

With a loud grunt, the troll wrenched the entire, fully tiled roof off a nearby holiday home,
with the owners peering helplessly and frightened out of the downstairs windows.
He didn’t mean any harm, but he just couldn’t help himself…

All the people ran for their lives frighted running as fast as they could trying
to get away from the grassy troll.
The troll lifted up the roof looking inside and the holidaymaker was in shock seeing a big troll.


He was frightened and he ran straight out of the hotel to a safe spot.
The car swerved and skidded on the road to dodge the troll that was in the way
and the person driving
the car had to slam the brakes and the troll got a fright and ran away.

This is my troll writing I hope you enjoy it. It is descriptive writing and narrative writing to we had to try to make people speak we did some expressions, comers, expressions to make them talk.

About my dad

My dad works in a coal mine in Australia. He is there for 8 days and then comes home for 7 days. I am exited because tomorrow he will be home. He fly's from Australia to Christchurch and then to Hokitika. Mum is taking us to the airport to pick him up. On Thursday we are going to a hut called Jim's flat hut to try and shoot a deer so we can put it on the wall. we already have a chamoi and a Thar. I am realy exited and looking ford to it and best of all I get to spend time with my dad.

My Nature Story

Last year my brother, dad and I went to Kiwi Hut for one night. It was lots of fun and I will like to go to another hut with my brother and dad. I made this presentation for the Sharing Nature competition for the Conservation Week run by Department of Conservation.

ASSEMBLY

this is all of the things in term one we have been working with alot of people we have been learning with Mr Kinane he teached us about maths like graghs a number thing it was the biggest number one the white board and he done number bonds with us. then we had Mrs Minehan we done a self portrait with her and they turned out great I really like them the other thing we done was Rippa with Nobby he teached me alot about it I really liked it I thinked it was really cool. we had another teacher her name was Mrs Zuckerman she teached us about peer mediation it was fun. do you wish you had all those people it was so much fun.

Peer Mediation 2

  Today Mrs Zuckerman came into our class called Ruma Piwakwaka to teach us about peer mediation. The thing I liked was watching the three videos about peer mediation it taught me lots about peer mediation.
