Non'Fiction or Fiction Poster

 

This is my poster on how to spot fake news. It has all the ways of finding if it real or fiction. We are learning about if the tree octopus is real or fake it's our reading task for the week and these are all the ways to find out if your news article is real or not. I enjoyed making this and writing all the ways. We used Canva to make posters and lots! of different stuff. Have you ever created a poster before??

BOOK REVIEW!!!!!:Sticking With Pigs

 

This is an awesome book that I have been reading for the past few days. It's called Sticking with Pigs and it's written by Mary-Anne Scott. It’s about hunting pigs. So far I am enjoying reading this book, I am about a quarter of the way through. I enjoy hunting with my Dad, he has stuck a pig but sadly I wasn’t with him that time. Other times we have shot deer. Have you ever been hunting or thought you would like to go? Make sure you go with a responsible adult.

My Bio Cube

This is my bio cube I made for reading. We made it because it was one of our tasks I am proud of it because I didn't know how to do it but I found out how to. I learnt that Bruce Mclaren was a racer and he started racing at 15 years old in 1953. He owned his own company called Mclaren and he went overseas to a team called Cooper racing team. He won his first race at 22 years old. And he died on June 2nd in 1970.

Languagenut

In ruma Piwakawaka we do a Maori web site called Languagenut in Languagenut you learn lots of thing like about your self and numbers 1 to 10 and more it has a world ranking and it expires every 30 days. 

SRA's

In Ruma Piwakawaka we have been doing SRA's. If you don't know what SRA's are, they are a quick book that you read and then after the book you answer questions in your Maths book. Then once you are done you mark it with a small sheet.

ASSEMBLY

this is all of the things in term one we have been working with alot of people we have been learning with Mr Kinane he teached us about maths like graghs a number thing it was the biggest number one the white board and he done number bonds with us. then we had Mrs Minehan we done a self portrait with her and they turned out great I really like them the other thing we done was Rippa with Nobby he teached me alot about it I really liked it I thinked it was really cool. we had another teacher her name was Mrs Zuckerman she teached us about peer mediation it was fun. do you wish you had all those people it was so much fun.

My biggest area I improved on is sounding out big words and getting them right and fixing up some words and trying hard and having to write lots of sentences about the book.

SJ Part 1 N4 2008

My biggest area I improved on is getting more sentences in reading.I would like to improve on getting all of the answers right. I am most proud of my effort in finishing in time.
