The Cricket Game

On Tuesday 25 of February, year 5 and 6 students went to Greymouth for cricket once we got there we went to our pitches were we played. Then our team started as batter and the other team bowling. We went against  Kamara first. Once we did the first game we had a break and ate out of our lunchboxes. Then we had another game vs another team and we started batting again. Once we did that round we counted up the points. For the first game we got 83 and the other team 73. Then the second round we got 75 and the other team got 40 so we won both rounds.

  1. Kia ora Jack,
It sounds like you had a fantastic time away at your cricket game! Starting off batting would have been a great way to start the day, and I can only imagine how great it must have felt to end it with a double win! Congratulations!
You mentioned how you versed Kamara first and then another team second. Which team was harder to play against and why?
You also mentioned how you had to count up the points after both rounds. What do you mean by ‘count up’ the points?
I played cricket a few times at school when I was younger, but I don't know a lot about the sport and I definitely don’t remember how to play. If cricket is a sport in which you genuinely enjoy, perhaps you could make a blogpost about how to play cricket, and the rules that you need to follow. It would be so cool to read some more of your content!
    Keep up the awesome work!
    Nga mihi
